Ms Sandra Genkoe – Co-Ordinator
The visionary leader responsible for strategic oversight and national leadership.
Evangelist (Mr) Ashley Peters – Deputy Co-Ordinator
Assists the Co-ordinator with national engagement and coordination across key governance structures.
Dr Nathan Williams – Chief of Staff
1. Strategic Coordination & Execution
- Translates Assembly resolutions, policies, and directives into actionable plans
- Ensures alignment between Assembly decisions and implementation arms
- Tracks delivery against mandates, timelines, and outcomes
2. Advisory to Assembly Leadership
- Acts as principal advisor to the Chairperson
- Provides briefings on:
- Policy implications
- Political and stakeholder dynamics
- Institutional risks and opportunities
- Anticipates issues before they escalate
3. Oversight of the Secretariat & Administration
- Supervises the Assembly Secretariat and senior administrative officials
- Ensures:
- Efficient meeting logistics
- Accurate records, minutes, and resolutions
- Compliance with governance frameworks
- Maintains institutional continuity beyond political terms
4. Process, Protocol & Governance Integrity
- Safeguards Assembly rules, procedures, and ethical standards
- Ensures due process in:
- Motions and resolutions
- Committee workflows
- Voting and quorum requirements
- Acts as the custodian of institutional memory
5. Stakeholder & Inter-Pillar Coordination
- Coordinates between:
- Assembly members
- Committees
- Other governance pillars or branches
- Manages high-level stakeholder engagement (civil society, partners, observers)
- Controls information flow to avoid fragmentation or misinformation
6. Crisis Management & Issue Resolution
- Serves as the central point during disputes, deadlocks, or emergencies
- Advises leadership on response strategy and communications
- Ensures calm, procedural handling of sensitive matters
7. Ethics, Conduct & Professional Standards
- Enforces codes of conduct and conflict-of-interest rules
- Promotes a culture of professionalism, neutrality, and accountability
- Protects the credibility and legitimacy of the Assembly

Accountable to the Co-Ordinator and Board
The National Board of Governors ensures ethical leadership, policy oversight, and financial governance. They are the custodians of the organization’s long-term mission and values.

Reports to the National Board of Governors
This board leads operational strategy, national partnerships, and programmatic planning. Directors manage the rollout of LHA’s key focus areas aligned to the 17 SDGs under the Leadership of the Managing Director.

Our Working Committees are the strategic engines behind the implementation of LHA’s mission across all nine provinces. These teams are made up of dedicated professionals, volunteers, and community members who are passionate about driving real impact from the ground up. Each committee aligns its work with one or more of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
1. Youth Empowerment Committee

Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver youth mentorship, leadership, and skills development programs
- Coordinate youth innovation labs, hackathons, and entrepreneurship bootcamps
- Create platforms for youth voices in decision-making (e.g., youth councils)
- Promote civic education, volunteerism, and democratic participation among young people
2. Women & Gender Equality Committee

Key Responsibilities:
- Advocate for gender equity and women’s rights across all sectors
- Support survivors of gender-based violence through referral networks and counselling
- Conduct empowerment and economic inclusion training for women and girls

3. Sustainable Agriculture & Food Security Committee

Key Responsibilities:
- Support the development of community gardens, cooperatives, and food banks
- Train farmers in climate-smart and regenerative farming methods
- Promote indigenous and nutrient-rich crops for better health and food resilience
- Partner with schools and clinics to deliver nutrition education
4. Health & Wellness Committee

Key Responsibilities:
- Facilitate mobile clinics, immunization drives, and health awareness campaigns
- Address mental health stigma and provide community wellness support
